Throughout the career, technical and leadership roles have been held with internationally recognised testing organisations, encompassing laboratory operations, technical activities, analytical method development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and laboratory personnel management.
Technical expertise includes advanced analytical techniques such as ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC-FID, HPLC, and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), with a strong focus on the identification and quantification of trace contaminants, heavy metals, minerals, pesticides, hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, and emerging environmental pollutants in complex sample matrices.
Extensive experience in implementing ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems, developing and validating analytical methods, coordinating laboratory audits, and ensuring compliance with international testing standards and regulatory requirements. The professional background also includes laboratory development, scientific project coordination, instrument qualification, staff training, and technical collaboration with research teams and regulatory authorities.
With a strong commitment to scientific integrity, analytical accuracy, and environmental quality, Hari contributes to advancing marine and environmental research through reliable analytical testing, modern laboratory practices, and science-driven approaches to understanding water quality and environmental contamination.

“The ocean has always fascinated me — not just its beauty, but the complex chemistry happening beneath the surface. Understanding what is in our water, at what levels, and what it means for marine life and human health is what drives my work every day. I want to bring analytical rigour to marine research, build testing capacity that the region can rely on, and help answer the questions that matter most for protecting our oceans.”
